Ideas for Building Institutions That Endure

Research, frameworks, and conversations helping Christian leaders steward organizations for generations.

About · Fernando Ramirez

Endlessly curious about what works

The Working Thesis is the work of Fernando Ramirez—a trusted voice in philanthropy, Christian NGOs, and the church, asking one question relentlessly: what actually works?

Fernando has spent his career at the intersection of foundations, ministries, and church networks—advising leaders, studying institutions, and separating what sounds good from what holds up in practice. The Working Thesis is where that curiosity becomes research.

The work begins from a conviction that every institution is a steward—of resources, of trust, and of the people it serves. That conviction carries an obligation to challenge assumptions, including comfortable ones, and to follow the evidence wherever it leads. Some of what appears here is grounded in evidence and experience; much of it is forward-looking—theses offered to be examined, refined, and proven in practice. In either case, the hope is the same: that each piece helps leaders understand a problem more deeply than they did before.

Our Conviction

We believe Christian institutions can become among the most innovative, faithful, and generative organizations in the world. The Working Thesis exists to discover, refine, and share the ideas that make that future possible—for the common good and the glory of God.
